EmploymentCooling towers from A to Z Equipment builder Polacel in Doetinchem, the Netherlands, has been known to be the specialist in designing, building and maintaining a complete range of cooling towers,which are generally designed for the (petro) chemical industry, for more than 25 years. Polacel, which is part of the German multinational in technology, GEA Group, employs 60 people on permanent basis and in addition hires specialists on project basis. As a result of a constantly growing turnover, Polacel is now searching for more permanent personnel. Energy saving By using low-energy and environment-friendly techniques, the cooling towers that Polacel designs and builds (the largest is 220m²) deliver cooling water that is used in industrial processes for process and climate cooling. "We build cooling towers from A to Z", says Dinie Rengers-van Os, financial manager of Polacel. "Design, sales, construction, assembly, installation, inspection, maintenance and repair, we control the whole line." Polacel does not only sell its cooling towers; they can also be rented or leased. In addition to that, customers can sell cooling towers back to Polacel, after which the used towers are completely revised so that they can be sold again. On location Polacel customers come from the Netherlands, as well as from European countries around us, from Scandinavia and from the formal East block. "Each cooling tower installation is assembled as complete as possible in our factory in Doetinchem. But because the transport of the installations limits their size, we transport some cooling towers in the largest possible components to the customer, and do the final assembly on the site.", says engineer Martijn Menschaar, marketing manager with the Doetinchem company. Good ambiance Dinie Rengers: "Our company is fully ISO and VCA** certified, an obvious part of our attention for quality. Thought from this quality, we also value the external training possibilities that we offer our employees. We enable our people to obtain all necessary certifications, while they obtain a high degree of experience and practical knowledge in their daily activities." Polacel invests a lot in facilities for its employees, which is reflected by the excellent ambiance in the company. "Here we have the friendly atmosphere that belongs to a family company. A flat organization, in which people are used to work in close teams, where collegiality still means something", knows Martijn Menschaar. |
